(con-crit) Academy students are trained both to take and make use of constructive criticism and to be able to offer constructive criticism to their colleagues.

The capacity to offer and accept thoughtful, constructive criticism is key to being a successful problem solver. From the beginning members of the Academy receive intensive formative critique in addition to conventional grading. The critique comes from outside experts, Academy faculty, and from peers. We work with students to develop their capacity to listen to and make use of criticism as well as their capacity to offer "iteration-forwarding" critique to their peers.
