What’s the End of Semester Vision at this Moment
Company launched (what do you mean by that?)? Initial capital acquired to permit work to continue after graduation? Working model in the hands of potential users? Turn in your last assignment and get on with something else?
By the end of the semester, I want to have a series of videos demonstrating the types of conversations I hope the Index will foster. I hope to share those videos online so I can garner analytics on engagement with them and, hopefully, demonstrate that there is significant interest in - and a viable market for - my product. Further, I hope to put a working model of the Index - as a mobile application - in the hands of potential users so I can:
Prove my concept
Gain the valuable experience of developing a team and a product in real life and
Begin generating user feedback for future iterations of the product.
To be very concrete: I currently envision the final product being a video series showing diverse strangers having challenging conversations with one another. The video series will be distributed via social media. Further, I plan to develop a mobile app through which multiple people can functionally find other people to have these same kinds of conversations with, have those conversations, and share those conversations so other people can enjoy them, like them, comment on them, etc. The mobile app will serve as a tool to empower the quick creation of podcasts and host them in a more accessible and interactive fashion, perhaps.
